It's very important to know how many guests will be attending your wedding, so make sure to leave enough time to get back those RSVP cards early. A standard rule of thumb is to order 10% more extra envelopes than you think you may need. This will come in handy if your calligrapher accidentally makes a mistake while addressing the invitations. Save a few extra invitations to keep as mementos for yourself and close relatives.
Helpful Tips: For your out_of_town guests, send save_the_date cards as early as six to nine months before the wedding date. Mail wedding invitations at least six to eight weeks before the wedding date; for weddings during the holiday seasons, the earlier the better! Do not put registry information on the invitations; Set up a personal wedding website or reply upon word of mouth.
